Why we built this site and how we verify our prices
We're a small team of travelers and long-term Bali residents who got frustrated by the same problems: budget travel guides full of vague advice, outdated prices, and sponsored content disguised as honest recommendations.
Budget Travel Bali was built to be different. We've spent months living in Canggu, Ubud, and Seminyak — eating at local warungs, renting scooters, negotiating monthly rent, and figuring out exactly where tourist prices end and local prices begin.
Every price on this site comes from one of three sources:
We update prices at least quarterly. Each page shows when it was last updated. If you spot an outdated price, please let us know.
Some links on this site are affiliate links — primarily to Booking.com, Hostelworld, SafetyWing insurance, Wise, and Airalo. If you click and make a purchase, we earn a small commission at no cost to you.
We only recommend products we've used or thoroughly researched. We've turned down partnership requests from companies whose products we wouldn't use ourselves. Our recommendations aren't for sale.
